Managed as a trophy WILD trout fisheries for the past several years this private tail water consistently produces wild rainbows, cut-bows and browns from 8 to 28 inches with several un landable fish hooked each year.

Located a few miles south of Durango Colorado, the Isgar Ranch is bisected by the River Of Lost Souls, the Animas. This section of river is home to some of the very best riffles, runs and deep buckets on the Animas and several of the largest, hardest fighting rainbow and brown trout the drainage has to offer.

Aaron has been fishing the Isgar property since his college days in the late 80s and is proud to enjoy continued access to the cherished piece of river.

The Animas through the Isgar Ranch is available to Blue Lake Ranch Bed and Breakfast guests as well as Anasazi Angler guides. To ensure access please drop us a line with preferred dates.
